Qu'est-ce que le fer blanc ?

Tinplate refers to a steel plate with a thin layer of metallic tinplated on the surface. Tinplate is a low carbon steel rolled into a steel plate with a thickness of about 2mm, after pickling, cold rolling, electrolytic cleaning and annealing, leveling, trimming, and then cleaning, electroplating, reflow, passivation, and oiling, and then cut into finished products of tinplated sheet. The tin used for tinplated sheet is high-purity tin (Sn>99,8 %).

La couche d'étain peut également être revêtue par placage à chaud. La couche d'étain de la plaque d'étain obtenue par ce procédé est plus épaisse et la quantité d'étain utilisée est importante, et aucun traitement de purification n'est requis après l'étamage.
